Stereotypes 04:50
A life like this Is nothing new A great divide Connects them too These boys and girls Have little they share The boys’ swagger Makes them laugh And no one’s conscience cries Welcome to a world of stereotypes Brand name products Define their style Mobile phones Close at hand Leant against German sports cars Nationalism Waves its flag A generation’s feeling Can be deceiving They haven’t got the faintest idea about that Who can tell? What’s right or wrong? Experience tells us It’s difficult at all Who do we think we are? To bring in a verdict Without running the risk Of being prejudiced
2.
Whirling twirling So many years Have gone by now Most things changed But some remain Undeniably Certain moments Seem to recur Eternally Piece by piece You put them up Turn them over More and more You will realise How far you have got Consider the past That had been shared With some future ahead Thoughts and feelings Kept in your memory No button of reset There’s no use in trying To await the outcome To feel regret
3.
Spilled 03:05
You can’t deny You did your best A promising start Turned into a mess Things were not always What they seemed Suspicion arose You know what I mean You can’t deny You did your best A promising start Turned into a mess Who will be next? To turn his head To point a finger At someone sad And times are getting rough And if you had enough No duty would be fulfilled Just so much ink being spilled

Seashores 05:06

She’s moving up and down Two feet above the ground Playing the see-saw Aping the crow Biting the apple Watching the ripple Smiling at me Who sits in a tree Her local fame All call her name Akin to a flower I witness her power As she commands Her servants in advance All the other boys She treats like toys Feelings collide (Love and pain) Lie closer together Feelings collide (Love and pain) Lie closer together Her aim is clear She has no fear She will target me She will tempt me By playing tricks on me In order to mock at me Aching to see me Falling from the tree Feelings collide (Love and pain) Lie closer together Feelings collide (Love and pain) Lie closer together

First I’m here, Then I’m there, You won’t catch me, You’d better not care Places to hide, Places to rest, Hunting me is pointless, I’ll stand the test You might attest me some quality, By detecting my quicksilver shape, No need for any double life In the middle of a triple existence Time and space I’ve overcome, When I’m on my way Through different dimensions My absence here, My presence there, Avoiding any kind Of prediction
7.
Let’s put it down As a kind of fate Predestined by birth and by status The principle is To help oneself To have something in the bag They don’t trust in state They don’t care for others Demanding welfare for their own sake And I don’t feel bad about it No, I don’t feel bad about it I don’t feel compassion for them Their behaviour is disgusting They won’t give a damn About me and what I think They’re proud To be ignorant Everything shall be cheap and abundant Consumption becomes a political right Weaving a band between winners and losers Rejecting education Unless it results In some material benefit And I don’t feel bad about it No, I don’t feel bad about it I don’t feel compassion for them Their behaviour is disgusting They won’t give a damn About me and what I think

about

For our debut EP we selected tracks from our repertoire that speak to our diverse musical passions. Upbeat pop and rock songs ("Spilled", "Stereotypes"), prog-infused extended instrumental jams ("Seashores", "Choices of Masses"), jangle (alt)rock ("Feelings Collide") and melancholy jazz-rock ("Piece by Piece").

Our music is about finding one's place in a world marked by commodification of even our most personal thoughts, feelings and memories. Music for all of us can be many things, and all of them at once: a lament for free will and social cohesion, a manifest for resistance and a refusal to conform. A thing of beauty … consolation. An ode to joy , empathy and solidarity. We believe that music can help bridge the gap that widens between us as we descend into a post-truth "hypernormality".

All tracks were recorded live over two days, with the band in a room and only minimal overdubs – mostly vocals and the occasional keyboard and guitar flourishes added. We recorded at Janka Industries (www.janka.industries) in Vienna to achieve an organic, band-in -a-room sound.

The EP was engineered and mixed to tape by the phenomenal Chris Janka (of BLUEBLUT – check out blueblut.bandcamp.com) using his beloved vintage radio broadcast console, ancient reference mikes and a plethora of DIY amps, speakers and magical boxes.

We hope some of that magic translated itself into our tracks. Enjoy.
